If you know my sister, you probably have heard about the disaster in her classrooms this summer. The paint color that ended up on the trim, cabinets, etc. was horrible so she decided to tackle one of the two rooms over Labor Day Weekend. Willy and I came to help. I know she has a full post planned for this, but just to give you an idea... we went from random orangey/brown/something color to chocolate brown which is oh-so-much better! One classroom down, one to go!
In Chad's world, September means archery season and trust me, there was plenty of that going on. We both had Oregon archery elk tags and one afternoon we went for a hunt - no elk, however, Chad did kill a wiley coyote and a badger with his bow. The badger went back in his hole and we were not risking that he might still be alive - so no pictures there! It was a lot of fun, but exhausting - the drive to the tree stand from my house was about two hours (one way) and that can take a toll - especially when we were just starting our busy season at work! Greg went out with me a couple times, Katia and Gavin even came along - but mostly I was sitting the stand all by my lonesome. And I will tell you, the walk back to the pickup in the dark was a little scary.
I suppose there is always next year! Chad has already asked me what tags I want to put in for for 2012..... I think my response was something like, "Don't I have until May to decide that?!"
