Falling back into a routine...

With school and onion harvest starting at the end of August, it was time for Chad and I to kick our carefree ways to the curb and start having a schedule - a work schedule that is! Even though we have been pretty darn busy at both the school and Snake River Produce, we have managed to have a little fun in the past few weeks!

The Caldwell Night Rodeo is my favorite rodeo of all - I have some of the best memories from that rodeo - some I shouldn't share on the blogosphere! Ha! This year, we went Wednesday night to represent Snake River in the US Bank VIP tent and it was really fun - food, drinks, music, and the company wasn't bad either :) The rodeo is always good and we ended up sitting with Greg, Chance, and Cory - one of Chad's college friends. We sat in the "civies" side - gasp! Which is totally unheard of, however we sat there Thursday night too! Generally, I don't make my way out of Coors Corner, but this year was the exception!
The same weekend, Chad turned 29! Eek - he is getting old, going to have to start plucking those gray hairs! We had a small family BBQ/party and even though I was kind of a stress-case trying to get everything (mostly just Chad's African Frame Project) finished before people started showing up, it was a lot of fun and so nice to see everyone! Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate the big 2-9!
August is a big month for celebrations in our family - did I mention we had our THIRD wedding anniversary? Three years and going strong :)
September (obviously) means hunting season - for Chad anyway. This year, he had an archery Idaho elk tag. He and we went scouting several times and saw lots of big big elk. Chad's college buddy/fraternity brother/best man just moved to the area with his fiance Courtney (and we couldn't be more excited) and the boys went hunting together. Chad killed this nice five-point bull from 50-ish yards with his bow.
As for me, I have been riding quite a bit while Chad is hunting - since he is hunting out in Adrian and the couple who owns the land has a horse - it just seems right! This is Ranger and the view of the place. I can't think of many better places to be!
At risk of embarrassing my husband, we are both excited for the start of Dancing With the Stars. During the first show, we always select our two "picks" - one that we want to cheer for, and the other that we think will win. Last season, I picked the top two - Hines Ward to win and Kirstie Alley was my favorite from the start. Chad picked Chelsea Kane to win and Hines Ward as his fan favorite, so we were both pretty close. We haven't watched the start of the season yet, but we recorded it and when we get a chance, we will make our selections! Stay tuned! He's going to kill me for posting that :)

Great post!
Kill you for saying that?
That means Chad actually READS YOUR posts? That is great!
Ha, Jordan rolls his eyes when I tell him I blogged! LOL!

I could probably say whatever I wanted to on our blog and Jordan would never know!

Have a great day!

Maybe, Halloween party again at our house?

I love your blogs and now I've gotten in the habit of taking yours and Alisha's to the nursing home and reading them to mom. It's great for all of us. Keep them coming. Love Bev

PS, I did not take the one of Alisha's about silage..... I'm sure mom would worry about the boys and the trucks and tractors and tipping over and ...and ....and .... so I hold back a little when it comes to sharing scary things.
