There is so much to tell and I have way too many pictures so I tried to group them so the post is not so picture heavy. We decided to target his main living areas - dining room, kitchen, hallway, living room, and main bathroom. It has been quite the adventure, taking everything apart, cleaning, moving stuff (I might need a giant sized bottle of pain killer when this is over), painting, priming, sanding, painting, painting, painting, and more painting. Did I mention painting? My hands hate me right now.
Aside from cleaning, painting, reorganizing, and decorating the main living areas, we have been working on refinishing some of his furniture and finding old (new to him) furniture to refinish! Let's dive into some of the projects so far!
You probably remember this coffee table from an earlier post and it is finally done! It is going to look so nice in his living room and I am sure he will be happy to finally have it :)
Greg's dining room set is Grandma Barbara's old set and it is getting a major facelift! I found this great green fabric at JoAnns and it along with the black paint really updates the chairs!
Refinishing furniture is a lot of work - especially when you are working on several projects under time constraints. This is where Rachel comes in - she volunteered to help and I have not let her leave my sight because she has been sooooo helpful! Couldn't have done it without her!
This bookshelf was in our game room while we were growing up and has never been finished. I think it has been sitting in Greg's garage for several years and mine for several months since he asked me to paint it for him a while ago. Guess what? It is done and looks so much better!
Loads more to come - I still have to put together photos from the stools and dining room table. Also, I have some great "before" shots of the house with the major blue paint (gone)!Shout out to Alisha, Mom, & Rachel - Greg is going to "poop little green marbles" (aka - be excited) when he sees the huge transformation that has taken place! By the way... I'll be out of town for a few days later this summer, I'll just leave you my keys and you can tackle my kitchen - sound good?
