Greg's Home Makeover Part 2

Today is the big reveal! Is everything ready? Heck no! We better get movin'!

Progress has been made - the bathroom got the final coat of paint yesterday and some of the deep (deep) cleaning was completed. Shout out and thanks to Dan for coming over with Mom and doing some of the "heavy hanging" and electrical work for us last night. We (and I am sure Greg) appreciate it! Today is all about putting on the final touches, cleaning our stuff out, and decorating! Alisha and I are meeting up to take care of business and it should be a fun afternoon!

Since today is the day of "after" photos, I am going to share with you a few "before" photos. Unfortunately we didn't take any before we took the place apart, but these should give you an idea of what we were working with.

Dining Area
Kitchen
Living Room: Alisha and I practically ripped those blinds off the wall. They would not come down! Literally, we were hanging from them...
Entry/Living Room
Hallway
The freezer and stove fit like a glove in their little corner of the kitchen. This was unfortunate for us because it was sooo hard to get them out so we could clean and paint behind! This is a what we believe we looked like while trying to move the huge freezer filled with assorted meats.
Lots of dining room chairs last post and no table? Here you go! This table is h-e-a-v-y! I ended up having to get it out of Greg's house by myself and that was an adventure in itself. I finally got it outside in one piece but I couldn't get it up high enough to put it in the back of my pickup. I waited and thought maybe someone would drive by I could convince to help. No one drove by. Of course. Finally, I wised up and took the leaves off to reduce the awkwardness and remove a bit of weight. I might need to visit the chiropractor after this one though. I still need to put a coat of poly on it so no touching! One of the other refab projects we took on was improving the look of these barstools found at Bob's in Ontario. Alisha saw them when she drove by on day and Peter and I ended up stopping by to bargain, BS, and buy them! They will fit perfectly in his house and the green is such a fun bright pop of color! Yes, I realize they do not match and I am totally okay with it. You should be too.
A few other projects have made their way into my workspace - aka - the shop. Pantry doors, frames, and lots and lots of sanding, priming, and painting. Soon - "After" photos and the whole story about how he takes the transformation! Big surprise - shh! Don't be tellin'!

wait...i'm confused. He only has a freezer in his kitchen? what about a fridge? Where does he keep things that don't need to be frozen??

Haha, he has both a freezer and a combo fridge/freezer. Unfortunately, the refrigerator he bought several years ago didn't fit the space (2+ inches too wide) so the fridge is in the dining room area and the freezer is in the fridge space! Maybe time for a new fridge!!!
